We're looking for a volunteer to assist our Volunteer Walk Leader on an existing Health Walks from Pinhoe Surgery

Our Pinhoe walk leaves Pinhoe Surgery (Pinn Lane) every week, with a Grade 1 walk starting at 9.30am and a Grade 2/3 walk leaving at 10.30am.

We run 22 Health Walks across the county every week, each one lead by volunteer walk leaders assisted with Back Up Walk Leaders.

Our walks, which vary in length, cater to people of all ages and abilities, encouraging everyone to stay active, improve their health and wellbeing and make new friends. You could be involved in a low level, accessible walk for those with more limited mobility, or a higher level one for more experienced walkers.

As a back up walk leader, you'll assist with welcoming and registering both new and regular walkers, ensuring everyone feels comfortable during the walks and at our tea breaks in local cafes or community centres, you main role will be following the group from the back ensuring everyone stays together and not left behind. You might also enjoy planning new routes or conducting risk assessments.

Plus, you'll have the chance to connect with other walk leaders at quarterly meetings and social events. and social events.
